¿Cómo se protege la media cobertura contra robos?
La funda se fija a su vehículo mediante nervaduras acolchadas en la parte inferior de la funda. Estos quedan atrapados dentro de las puertas cerradas y del maletero, de modo que la cubierta no se puede quitar sin desbloquear y abrir el automóvil.
¿Estas medias cubiertas son impermeables?
Nuestras medias fundas están hechas de poliéster tejido recubierto de poliuretano y son impermeables. Sin embargo, dado que el clima es impredecible y severo para cualquier tejido, recomendamos la limpieza y el mantenimiento regulares de su protector de techo de tela para ayudar a preservar su color y su capacidad de impermeabilización. Esto es tan fácil como lavar la capota de su automóvil: PASO 1: use un champú suave para automóviles; PASO 2: aplique un protector de tela (instrucciones completas proporcionadas con su funda).
¿Cómo debo guardar la funda?
La funda debe secarse antes de guardarla en la bolsa de almacenamiento.
¿Puedo utilizar mi cobertura en un vehículo remolcado?
No recomendamos utilizar una cubierta en un vehículo remolcado o en un remolque abierto. Además del aleteo de la cubierta sobre el acabado de pintura del vehículo, la suciedad y los escombros del camino pueden quedar atrapados entre la cubierta y el acabado, causando daños a la pintura.
¿Una media funda rayará mi coche?
Ninguno de los materiales que utilizamos para fabricar nuestras fundas rayará su vehículo. Sin embargo, es importante que la cubierta se use correctamente, es decir, en un vehículo limpio, y que los imanes cosidos en el borde de la cubierta para asegurarla no sean arrastrados hacia su lugar al instalar o quitar la cubierta.
¿Puedo usar mi funda cuando hace viento?
Nuestras cubiertas brindan un ajuste cómodo a su vehículo y se fijan mediante nervaduras acolchadas atrapadas dentro de las puertas, así como imanes a lo largo del borde de la cubierta, para que permanezcan en su lugar en condiciones normales de viento. Como cualquier tela, la funda para automóvil es susceptible al viento y, aunque se trata de fundas relativamente pesadas que funcionan bien en áreas ventosas, nuestra garantía no cubre los daños causados por tormentas y viento.
¿Protegiendo de la humedad?
En condiciones de uso normal, nuestras medias cubiertas protegen su capota de todo tipo de clima, savia de árboles, suciedad, gatos callejeros y similares. Recomendamos comprobar periódicamente si hay humedad debajo de la cubierta y retirar y “ventilar” la capota blanda y la cubierta. El plazo para esto depende de las condiciones climáticas locales y la humedad de su área, por lo que no existe una regla estricta aquí. Si la humedad queda atrapada debajo de la cubierta durante demasiado tiempo, puede provocar la formación de moho y bacterias que pueden empañar la pintura o crear manchas de agua. North American Custom Covers no es responsable de ningún daño resultante del uso o mal uso de nuestras medias fundas.
¿Puedo usar mi funda en un vehículo mojado?
No recomendamos usar su cubierta en un vehículo mojado por más de un día aproximadamente, por las razones expuestas anteriormente en "¿Proteger contra la humedad?"
¿Qué pasa si mi cobertura se congela?
En climas muy fríos, si no ha tomado la precaución de ventilar la cubierta con regularidad, es posible que una cubierta mojada se congele en su automóvil. No retire la cubierta del automóvil si se ha congelado en su vehículo; corre el riesgo de dañar tanto el vehículo como la cubierta del automóvil. La funda del coche debe descongelarse antes de retirarla. Este proceso se puede acelerar vertiendo agua tibia sobre la cubierta. Tome precauciones al retirar la cubierta, ya que nuestra garantía no cubre ningún daño.
Plegar y guardar tu media funda
Si dobla la mitad de la cubierta metódicamente y de manera ordenada, será mucho más fácil volver a instalar la cubierta la próxima vez.
Doble cada lado hacia el techo y luego doble la parte delantera y trasera de la cubierta hacia el techo. Ahora tiene aproximadamente un cuadrado de 3 pies x 3 pies. De un lado, dobla un tercio de la funda hacia el centro y luego, del otro lado, dobla el otro tercio hacia el centro. La funda ahora se puede plegar de adelante hacia atrás, hasta alcanzar un tamaño adecuado para la bolsa de almacenamiento.
La funda debe secarse antes de guardarla en la bolsa de almacenamiento durante más de un día aproximadamente, para evitar la acumulación de moho si la funda se dobla cuando está mojada.

Perfect fit on my 986 (1997) Porsche Boxster. Did not realize it had strong but padded magnets on the four corners to hold the cover down, which is handy. Covers the entire top, front plastic trim under the wipers, and a decent section of the rear. Looking forward to using this on summer days
I’m really impressed by the well made quality and ease of use of this cover. It even comes with a good quality zippered storage bag. Highly recommended if you need a day to day quick cover to protect your soft top.

This is my second and I really like the way it keeps the inside cool and protects the top. The first one started falling apart after 4-5 years of intermediate use. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars.
This is a well built cover, but it's more than I was hoping it would be. There used to be a company called PopTop, and I have one of their covers for another convertible. and it's better for my application because it's made from same material as hazmat coveralls so it's very light but tear resistant (proof?) and super fast to put on and take off. I can just roll up that cover and throw in trunk. Unfortunately they're out of business. and I was hoping this would be similar. Like I said, this cover is a much thicker, more robust half cover and very well made. You CAN just roll it up, but would take up too much space. Kinda have to fold it up nice.
Just wish you had a light weight option too.

The cover also works on the Cayman even though it’s for a Boxster. I’m using the cover to keep the inside of my car cool between sessions at the track.
They day the cover arrived we put it on the car. It rained overnight, and when we took the cover off the next day we found moisture trapped under the paint where the cover was laying. We used it exactly ONE time and it damaged the paint on the Porsche Boxster we just purchased. Now we have to have the boot cover repainted. Not happy at all. Cover is being returned.
Very easy to use and fold. The instruction was very clear.
Fast shipping and handling resulted in the cover arriving within a week of ordering. My Boxster lives outside, so this brand kept coming up as an excellent option for the car. Within the first week of using the cover, we had a bad monsoon with 70mph winds come through. The cover barely moved the whole time. I was a little apprehensive of how well it would hold up to strong wind, but after this storm, I'm 100% sold on this product.

This cover kept my Boxster dry through a recent snowstorm. It was straightforward if finicky to install, but the "padded ribs" that are supposed to be locked into the doors and trunk lid to secure it are not fit for purpose. They are very short - barely over an inch long - and do not fit tightly into the doors, if you can get them in the right place at all! Since these ribs are touted as an anti-theft feature I expected better, but in all cases I was able to easily pull them from the locked doors and trunk lid. Fix the ribs and this cover might be perfect!
This is an awesome top cover. Very well made!!! It is so easy to put on and protects my back window from the sun and keeps my car inside much cooler in the Florida high heat! Great quality.

Great cover - quality materials, but a little challenging to get it wedged into doors and trunk gaps (soft felt tabs). Heavy duty, high quality fabric leaves a couple of wrinkles (waves?) but this is better than having it wear out. This will last for years and will be used.
This is my second purchase. Fitment is quite good. It protects my Boxster from rain, dust and sun. Prevents the interior from fading.
Well done, thick and water resistant. The fit is not great but maybe it needs to sit out a few more days to soften a little. I have a temperature and humidity sensor in the car and I can see it and compare it to another vehicle and this cover keeps the Boxster 15 to 20 colder than the other car under the sun.
It protects the dashboard from the intense heat of the summer sun. It's quick and easy to put on.

Fits my Boxster well. Keeps rain and snow off the entire soft top area so little worry when you need to leave the car outside. It will not withstand very strong winds and will blow off, but generally works very well

this top is great, put it on when ever I'm away from home, at work, baseball and football games, golf course or were ever a full cover is impractical. The quility is outstanding and fits over the convertible top like a glove. Could not ask for anything better.
